My Story

We are Americans living in Bordeaux, France.  We moved here in 2009 for my husband's job.  I gave up my full-time job to become a stay-at-home mom to our then 2 year old son.  I figured it was a great chance to spend time with my child, to learn a new language, and experience a new culture.  Three years on and with a second child at home, I started looking for part-time work - more for my own sanity than for financial need.  I have a bachelor degree and two master degrees from well-known American universities but finding a job in France for foreigners is not easy.  Like many of my ex-pat friends here, I started to teach English.  I also signed up to be President of a support organization for anglophones affected by cancer.  I enjoy these things but, let's face it, diapers are expensive.  So is traveling to the US to visit family.

When my friend, Zoe, told me about the aloe products she was selling I thought, "cool. Selling is not really my thing. But I'll support her business and try some of the products." I was feeling run-down and exhausted as most stay-at-home moms (and most parents for that matter) can attest to.  She suggested I try some of the FOREVER Aloe Vera Gel when we were at her house one day.  I took a shot and shuttered at the taste.  My husband was in-training as a member of the French National Ultimate Frisbee team so he tried a glass of ARGI+.  In the car ride home, we were both talking about how much more energetic we felt.  Could it really be the aloe products?  We decided to buy a bottle of the Gel and try it for a month.  Within days I was feeling more focused, less tired, and just overall healthier.  I didn't need my morning caffeine fix.  I was hooked.

A few weeks later, Zoe and I went out to dinner and she presented the business model to me.  Who couldn't use an extra couple hundred euros/dollars/pounds/etc a month?  I signed up in September of 2013 and began retailing the products in the US and France and haven't looked back. Recently, I have started working towards building my own team and gaining even more financial freedom.  I am working towards earning a full-time salary in part-time hours.

Yes, I have had to step outside my comfort zone BIG TIME and there have been many times when I have sat up at night thinking, "why am I doing this?" But, my why is easy for me.  Living on the ex-pat planet, I already live outside my comfort zone on a daily basis.  I miss my family, my friends, being able to communicate freely and effortlessly.  FOREVER is giving me the opportunity to visit family members and friends overseas more regularly.  To be home everyday to pick my children up from school.  To meet people from all walks of life and from over 150 countries in the world.

With FOREVER, I work for myself but never by myself.  FOREVER is a team.  And I am proud to be part of it!
